Having recognised the positive reaction from the kids, towards the results of the workshop we did with them a few months back, we were delighted to have the opportunity to visit Ruskin School in Swindon again to work some FOURPENCE magic inside the school.
We painted a large wall in the music/dance hall, which homes the older pupils and then two smaller walls inside the library, to entice the boys to spend more time in there to help develop stronger and more confident reading.
UPDATE
Having recieved successful results from our previous visits to Ruskin, we had the pleasure of revisiting to deliver some more excitement inside the school and to paint two walls that would resemble their learning mascots: a dragon and a knight. These characters represent the school's focus to instill more learning confidence in the children and to promote their resilience in their fight or flight responses.
What we love about working with Ruskin is that the artworks are more than just decoration and concept. The works aid in the teaching, learning and development of the children and the success of our work with them so far is massively rewarding.
